I was thrilled to be invited to discuss my book How Democrats Can Win Back Men on The Chris Voss Show. See the full show below — an engaging discussion that lasted over an hour! Chris is well-informed on male gender issues and referred to authors such as Dr. Warren Farrell and Leonard Sax. Like me, Chris describes himself as a moderate who cares are the well-being of men and was supporting Biden. This informed our dive into the question: How are the parties looking to get an edge with men this election season?
In addition to hosting his podcast, Chris also runs a dating group on Facebook so it wasn’t surprising that our discussion of politics also veered into the realm of personal relationships. It brought to mind the phrase “The Personal is Political,” originally popularized in 1969 by Carol Hanisch’s essay of that name when it was applied to the women’s movement. But the same is true of all movements, and it’s true for male well-being, too. In fact, I’ve noticed a number of male pundits who talk about dating veer into the political realm.
At the time of the recording, Biden was still the candidate and wasn’t polling well. Worried about what might happen to outspoken Democrats, Chris has a good sense of humor and ended our interview with the dark parting words, “See you in the camps.” Lol. Here’s the interview! Thanks to Chris for having me.
